The vision became clearer when we opened the doors to our Private Practice on September 1, 2021. The moment seemed surreal as I paused in humility and looked back over my life. Countless of times over the years my prayer had been, “Lord please do not let my pain be in vain” and it seemed like this prayer was being answered. My friends, Shattered 2 Restored was not just a random name picked, rather a God given name that was birthed out of my own personal journey. Yes, I know firsthand how trauma, depression, and anxiety can impact one’s life. But always remember we have a choice in how we will come through. Personally, I have decided to not be defined or labeled by what I have gone through or what people say, instead I choose to be ONLY who God says that I am! Jeremiah 1:5 says that BEFORE God formed us in our mother’s womb, He knew us, and He called us. This implies that EVERYTHING God creates has purpose. If you change the way you think about yourself, your struggles, and your circumstances you will change the way you feel, and this will produce healthy and productive behaviors. Decide to Live a Life of Purpose on Purpose and this will be a testament to others on how to overcome.
